Tanya Ilnicki

Born in 1970, I first learned to knit in March 1997 in order to make a beaded bag for a wedding shower gift for my "soon-to-be" sister-in-law. I enjoyed beaded kntting so much that I made purses for the entire Bridal Party, Mothers of the Bride and Groom included (10 Beaded Purses in all).

Currently employed as an Office Administrator in the family business, Canada Petroleum Corp., an enviromental waste process facility, I graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Canadian History and a minor in Fine Arts. I am involved with the Mission Museum Advisory Board, Girl Guides of Canada and the Petsmart Animal Foster Care Program (giving a temporary home to abandoned cats and kittens until permanent homes can be found).

I have a wide spectrum of interests including photography, outdoor recreation, travelling, creating all kinds of Christmas Crafts and enjoying life with my two cats, Euphrates and Cleopatra.
